Alessandro graduated in 1992 magna cum laude in Architecture after studying between Florence and Darmstadt in Germany at the Technische Universitat. A founding partner of Dada SpA, from 1994 to 2010 he served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He was President of Register.it SpA, one of the largest Internet companies for domain registration and hosting services at European level.
He has received numerous official awards for entrepreneurial experience: the Fiorino d’Oro of the city of Florence, the WWW Prize of Sole24Ore, the Silver Banner of the Region of Tuscany, the Torrino d’Oro of Florence.
Alessandro left Dada in 2011 with the transfer of control of part of the RCS Group. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Audiweb (National Board for the certification of web traffic) and of Fedoweb (National Association of Digital Publishers) from its foundation until 2006. He has been a member of the Board of the Industrial Association of Florence and a member of the Board of Directors of Technological and Innovative Companies and he is still a member of the Board of Directors of the Digital Innovation Hub Toscana for Confindustria.
He has spoken at dozens of conferences, forums and masters at national and international level including SDA Bocconi, Politecnico di Milano, Sant’Anna di Pisa, Normale di Pisa, OME Madrid, AdTech London, AdTech New York, Assinform, and the Startupitalia Open Summit. Today, together with his lifelong friends Paolo Barberis and Jacopo Marello, he is the founder and CEO of Nana Bianca, one of the major accelerators for Italian digital startups, with about 60 participations in innovative Italian and international startups, among them: Depop, Instal, Viralize, Vino75, Hoopygang, StartupItalia, Qaplà, 4Books, and Tate.
He was born on 24 January 1967 in Florence where he lives with his family; he is also a marathon runner.
