After graduating in Economic History at the State University of Milan, she obtained a Master’s degree in European Public Relations and two specialisations at the Scuola Superiore di Amministrazione Pubblica e degli Enti Locali in Rome.
Between 1997 and 2013 she held managerial positions at the Lazio Region, as Head of Institutional Relations and Relations with the European Union, and for the Fondazione Musica per Roma. In 2006 she led the Political Secretariat of the Minister of Communications, Paolo Gentiloni.
From 2013 to 2018 she was Deputy of the Republic for the Democratic Party, participating in the activities of the parliamentary committees Transport; Digitisation; Culture, Science and Education; and, finally, of the Rai Supervision Commission.
From March 2018 to August 2019 she was Councillor for Tourism and Equal Opportunities of the Lazio Region. She is currently Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
