Presidente Fondazione Arezzo Intour
Marcello Comanducci is not yet twenty years old, yet, alongside his studies, he works in the family business founded by his grandfather and carried on by his father: a hotel in the historic centre of Arezzo.
He is passionate about technological innovation and, in the mid-1990s, he created the company’s website, making it one of the first hotels in Italy to have its own space on the Internet. In 2001, he founded Net Style, one of the first agencies in Italy to develop dynamic web solutions. In 2007, he became co-founder of Esimple, a leading company in innovative marketing solutions with particular focus on augmented and virtual reality applications. In 2013, he moved to San Francisco for a few months, to follow the "in3Dgallery" project.
It was here in Silicon Valley that Marcello matured original ideas concerning e-government and the use of digital tools to improve citizens’ lives. The last project he launched was Livemote, a smart industry platform.
Since 2015, he became Councillor for Tourism, Production Activities and Innovation, a role that motivated him to immediately seek a dynamic and flexible solution that would allow Arezzo to grow in the tourism market.
In fact, in 2018, the Arezzo Intour Foundation was created, of which he is currently president. It is a public-private DMO that manages the destination of Arezzo in such an innovative way that it was called a DDMO (Digital Destination Management Organization).
