Her research focuses on innovations in tourism, smart destinations, augmented reality, virtual and mixed reality, social media, destination management, tourism governance, place branding, cultural heritage, creativity, sustainable tourism and overtourism, MICE industry, and entrepreneurship.
She is author and co-author of monographs, articles in prestigious national and international scientific journals, book chapters and conference papers. She has received several Best Conference paper awards, including the Best Conference Paper at the 5th International Augmented and Virtual Reality Conference in Munich (2019).
She is scientific director of numerous research projects and member of numerous Scientific Committees. She is on the BTO Programme Committee, Research Working Group.
