Rodolfo Baggio

Professor Master in Economia del Turismo, Università Bocconi

He has a degree in Physics (University of Milan) and a PhD in Tourism Management (University of Queensland, Australia).

After a long experience in the IT industry, he is now a lecturer at the Bocconi University in Milan, where he coordinates the Digital Strategies area for the Master’s degree in Tourism Economics.

He is also Research Fellow at the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policies (Bocconi) and visiting professor at Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk, Russia).

His teaching and research activity concerns the use of information technology in tourism, the study of complex systems and applying analysis and simulation models of complex networks to tourist destinations. He has published half a dozen books and about a hundred articles for international conferences and scientific journals.

In 2017, he received the Hannes Werthner Tourism and Technology Lifetime Achievement Award from IFITT (International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism).
