Giovanni Liberatore

Professor Università di Firenze

He is full Professor of Business Economics and Professor of Business Evaluation at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Florence, while also teaching Financial Accounting for New York University and Control Systems for Luiss Business School.

He was a visiting scholar at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management. He has participated in and coordinated several research projects in the field of value creation, with particular reference to companies and territorial systems, including recently Measuring the carrying capacity of the historical centre of Florence – UNESCO site (MIBACT), A Vocational and educational curriculum design from a sector skills alliances on tourism (EU – Skills Alliance), Productive work for youth and women through MSMEs promotion in Europe. (UNIDO).

He is a member of the scientific committee of the Luiss Business School’s Master in Tourism Management and of the "Raffaello Gattuso" Centre for Managerial Studies of A.D.A. (Associazione Direttori d’Albergo – Hotel Directors Association).

He is the author of various publications on tourism issues and a contributor to several magazines including the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. He is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
