Marcello Carrozzino

Assistant Professor Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna

Marcello Carrozzino got his Master degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Pisa in 2000 and attained his Ph.D. with honors in Emerging Digital Technologies at Scuola Sant’Anna, Italy, in 2006.

After a Post-Doc period at IMT Lucca, since 2009 he is Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa where he currently coordinates the Art, Culture and Education group at the Perceptual Robotics Laboratory. His work focuses on Computer Graphics and Virtual Environment.

He has coordinated several research projects at local, national and international level, receiving research grants from private and public institutions, and authored more than 100 scientific publications among journal papers, conference proceedings and book chapters.

He is also the co-founder of VRMedia srl, a spin-off company of Scuola Sant’Anna producing Augmented Reality solutions for the industry.
