The immaterial experience of art and digitisation. Opportunities for tourism operators
The process of digitising the cultural heritage of Italian cities and museums is a great opportunity to build innovative itineraries and products for tourist use.
All this, combined with the ability to collect a huge mass of data during a visit, will make it possible to create an articulated digital ecosystem in which the tourist is immersed and guided, thus transforming the tourist visit into a personal experience and enhancing the wealth of the territory.
Furthermore, in order to stimulate and influence the choice of travel, it will be possible, through virtual reality techniques, to promote and build "remote" cultural experiences that will then be enriched during the visit and shared through social networks.
As well as Google, that launched a large-scale project, at national level there are also projects with great potential that can be compared with the most advanced international experiences.
