Technology and Epic fail in cultural tourism: phenomenology of failure (and what we learned)
The last few years have marked an increasing interest in topics linked to technological innovation within "non-traditional sectors" and, at the same time, a significant increase in the phenomenon of cultural tourism.
These two directions have pursued each other for a long time, and on various occasions, but their meeting has rarely produced the desired or even only the hoped-for revolutions.
What has caused these failures? Are we facing epic fails or rather a real failure (systemic weakness) of our production system? In other words, what has been most influential in these failed revolutions? A technology often in beta phase or maybe a systematic conflict that the cultural sector (including cultural tourism) shows towards technology?
The intervention aims to provide a "positive" interpretation and identify processes that can facilitate the development and (above all) the spread of new technologies within cultural tourism.
