Reinventing tourism management starting with…
When asked the question, "Would you recommend your boss?", 80% of the people interviewed in a recent study launched by the LIUC Business School, replied "No".
This is in line with international indicators showing that employees are generally distant from their boss and "disengaged" (Gallup).
A lack of "harmony", which has a negative impact on the output of an individual’s work and of the company, makes the implementation of new technologies and change processes even more difficult and, inevitably, reflects on the service provided?
In an industry 4.0, that of tourism, strongly pervaded by new technologies, what might be the ideal management model? What would motivate people more to do better work? What would make "the boss" more stimulating?
We spoke about this with Vittorio D’Amato, director of the Liuc Business School Centre on Change, Giovanna Manzi, CEO of Best Western Italia, Fausto Ciarcia, HR manager North Italy for Hilton and Carlo Fontana, hotelier, CEO of Hoxell and member of the Scientific Committee of BTO.
